We are excited to present the first event in The Webby Awards x Omidyar Network Event Series about Responsible Technology, entitled It’s Up to Us: A Responsible Tech Future. We’re living in a pivotal moment for technology and how it impacts society. While new tech has positively changed the world, its scale has ushered in issues like data collection, misinformation, accessibility, and lack of diversity and equity. Yet, there is a lot of momentum to create tech innovations responsibly, but that change is up to us.
Please join us in-person in New York City on the evening of September 22nd for an inspiring discussion that introduces Responsible Technology and explores why we’re living in a pivotal moment for how it can shape our future. The panel features key leaders Michele Lawrence Jawando, SVP of Programs at Omidyar Network, and Dr. Fallon Wilson, the Co-Founder of #BlackTechFutures Research Institute, and is moderated by the Webby Awards President Claire Graves. The 30 minute panel discussion will be followed by audience Q&A and a networking session with drinks and snacks. We hope to see you there!
